Charlie is my golden retriever mix and a valued partner in Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT). He’s completed Obedience and Service Dog Training through Dog Training Elite and continues to sharpen his skills through ongoing training and support. Charlie is a gentle and affectionate companion who creates a calming presence and eagerly connects with people of all ages. His loving and friendly nature helps create a safe, comforting space for growth and healing.

Charlie is typically in the office two days per week.

Benefits of
Animal Assisted Therapy

Provides Comfort & Emotional Support
The unconditional presence of animals, especially dogs, offers safety, acceptance, and emotional grounding.

Promotes Relaxation & Physical Health
Interacting with animals can reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and release feel-good brain chemicals like oxytocin.

Builds Emotional & Social Skills
Animals help clients practice empathy, frustration tolerance, responsibility, and positive communication.

Encourages Learning & Self-Worth
Working with animals supports focus, self-esteem, advocacy, and healthy behavior reinforcement in self and others.

Boosts Engagement & Motivation

Animals help clients feel more relaxed and involved, often leading to quicker progress in therapy.

"A therapy dog doesn't need words to help one heal- just a wag, a nuzzle, and the quiet kind of love that reaches the soul before the mind catches up."
